About Georgia Darr

Georgia is the Principal Psychologist of Nura Psychology and is a registered Clinical Psychology Registrar with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Georgia’s practice is grounded in genuine care, openness, and a deep belief in people’s ability for growth and change. She endeavours to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, collaborative, and empowering, a place where people can explore their experiences and create a life that feels meaningful and authentic to them.

Georgia has previously specialised in working with adults, adolescents, and children experiencing eating disorders, using evidence-based approaches including CBT-E, CBT-AR, and Family-Based Therapy. Through this work, she developed a passion for supporting individuals not only in their recovery, but also in rebuilding confidence, improving self-worth and body image, understanding perfectionism, and navigating the emotional challenges that come with being human. Georgia is also interested in supporting people with a range of other psychological concerns, including depression, anxiety, OCD and burnout. She is currently providing therapy to clients 18+.

Georgia deeply admires her clients for the courage it takes to engage in therapy, recognising the strength required to show up, be vulnerable, and do the often challenging work of self-reflection and growth. Georgia understands that mental health is a holistic experience, and she seeks to explore all aspects of her clients’ lives to form a more comprehensive understanding of their experiences and challenges.
